A Gift From Me to You

I’d like to show you all my appreciation for sticking with me over the last week, so in honor of those that have responded to the Reader survey, here’s a free gift! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Last week when I announced more than a few major changes to my blog, I asked everyone to fill our a Reader Survey in order to help me make my blog better in the coming days. I cannot express how honored I am that ten of you took the survey; granted, ten isn’t much compared to the number of people who read my blog on a daily basis… But your input matters to me, and I’m happy that you took the 3 minutes out of your day to help me improve your experience with my content.

During that survey, though, an overwhelming majority of you expressed that you would like to see more content focusing on cooking and tea. These are some of my biggest passions, and I’m all too happy to oblige: I’ve got some wonderful posts qued up for the next few weeks that I hope you’ll enjoy. Some are new rewrites of old posts, others are new, but all focus on the Kitchen. In the meantime, however, I wanted to combine your request (and my passion) for cooking with another passion of mine- Art- as a gift to show you my appreciation.

My Mother mostly cooked out of Cookbooks- a trend I continue to an extent myself in my own home. And yet there’s something about Recipe Cards which surpasses explanation for me; I don’t know what it is about them, but something magical occurs in the kitchen when you have a stock of well worn cards containing hand written instructions for your favorite recipes. I thoroughly believe that every Chef should keep a box of them handy… And so my gift to you today, whether you filled out the survey or not, is a collection of printable Recipe Cards designed by me for you.

If you wish to claim them simply click here to be taken to my DropBox account. There you will find one .ZIP file available free for download; inside the .ZIP there are 3 files total: 2 sheets of prefilled cards containing four of the most used recipes in my own kitchen, and 1 sheet of blank cards to be printed out as much as you want.

To use them, download the file from my DropBox and unzip it. Next, open the Unzipped files in your art program of choice (Photoshop, Paint, Etc) and select the print option. Make sure that the file you wish to print is fitted to the page, and then print them out. Cut them out on the marked border, and fill them out with your own recipes. Punch a hole in the corner of the card containing the circle marked with an X, then string a ribbon through to bind them together.

Keep in mind that colors will differ between screens. While I’ve done my best to optimize these for printing in order to ensure the colors are accurate, the colors of the final printed products may not reflect what you see on your screen. If the color difference is too large please make sure to check your printer ink levels, screen color settings, and printer settings, then print them again. If this does not fix the problem, please email me about your issue and I will do my best to provide images that will work better.

Viola! You have a book of Recipe Cards that you can add to as needed. In the future, all Recipes that I post will contain its own card just like these that you can add to your collection if you wish to.

If you download and use them, please share by tagging and / or mentioning me on Instagram (@delicate_anna). I’d love to see what you do with them!Signature Blue
