When people find out that I spent 3 years losing 70+ pounds, despite the fact that I’ve put most of that back on many people want to know what I did. The answer is a simple one, but one most don’t often want to hear: I worked out 5 days a week and ate well.
And since we’re on the subject of food, this is generally the outline I tended to follow for my diet during that time- which was later changed in order to test out some of the Becker suggestions. A longer overview with more information can be found here, as well.
2.2L of Water a Day | Green Tea with Breakfast | Any Tea at Lunch | One Soda after Dinner
“Rest” Days = 2,000 Calorie Intake | “Work” Days = 2,200 to 2,500 Calorie Intake
- Cut Sodium Intake by ½
- Cut Refined Sugar Intake by ½
- Increase Fruit Intake
- Increase Vegetable Intake
- Decrease Red Meat Intake
- Increase Lean Meat Intake
- Increase Seafood Intake – Minus Crustacean due to allergies.
