An Overview of My Old Diet

When people find out that I spent 3 years losing 70+ pounds, despite the fact that I’ve put most of that back on many people want to know what I did. The answer is a simple one, but one most don’t often want to hear: I worked out 5 days a week and ate well.

And since we’re on the subject of food, this is generally the outline I tended to follow for my diet during that time- which was later changed in order to test out some of the Becker suggestions. A longer overview with more information can be found here, as well.

2.2L of Water a Day | Green Tea with Breakfast | Any Tea at Lunch | One Soda after Dinner
“Rest” Days = 2,000 Calorie Intake | “Work” Days = 2,200 to 2,500 Calorie Intake

  • Cut Sodium Intake by ½
  • Cut Refined Sugar Intake by ½
  • Increase Fruit Intake
  • Increase Vegetable Intake
  • Decrease Red Meat Intake
  • Increase Lean Meat Intake
  • Increase Seafood Intake – Minus Crustacean due to allergies.

No Junk Food in House | Make sweets and Deserts by self | Do not deny or ignore food cravings | Everything Allowed in Moderation

  1. People shy away from hard work nowadays. I haven’t been to the gym in a week. {Coming off a bad cycle.} And I’m dreading going back, but I WANT RESULTS and know that being active and disciplined is the only way.
